The Salado Farmers Market returns for its eighth year on April 4, launching another season dedicated to fresh food, local craftsmanship, and meaningful community connection. The market will be held every Saturday through September 19 at Barrow Brewing Company, offering residents and visitors a consistent place to shop local throughout the spring and summer.
Each week, the market brings together a carefully curated roster of local producers, farmers, ranchers, bakers, and artisans. Shoppers can expect fresh, seasonal produce, responsibly raised meats, small-batch baked goods, local honey, farm products, and a variety of handcrafted items. Vendors also offer safe, wholesome body care and home goods, all produced within a 50 miles radius of Salado.
The market is proud to be recognized as a Certified Farmers Market by the Texas Department of Agriculture, a designation that verifies vendors produce what they sell. This certification provides an added level of transparency and integrity, giving customers confidence in the quality and origin of their purchases. Farmers markets provide a variety of benefits for Texas producers and consumers. Direct access to consumers provides an important source of income for many growers. At the same time, consumers at farmers markets gain access to locally grown, farm-fresh produce and other goods, as well as the opportunity to interact with the people who grow their food.
Set against the relaxed, family-friendly backdrop of Barrow Brewing Company, the market provides an inviting atmosphere where neighbors can gather, shop, and enjoy a slower pace of life. The 2026 season opens Saturday, April 4, and continues weekly through September 19. Live music and childrens story time will be featured throughout the season. The market is currently full for vendors but interested parties can email [email protected] to be considered for future openings.
